WHAT IS IT?

You will be guided through breathwork before entering the contrasting elements of the sauna and cold tub with our cold water guides. Hot and Cold thermogenesis are meant to create acute stress in our body. This is know as hormesis. These stressors are different from our modern day chronic stress. Acute stressors are those that happen quickly and then pass, which creates a hormetic response that triggers the body to repair itself and adapt to handling the same or greater stress in the future-“growth”. There are many benefits to these hormetic stressors such as brain health, pain management, longevity, fat loss, athletic performance, immune health and mood. Up to date research suggests that these therapies benefits are significantly enhanced when paired together as contrast therapy.
